“No more holiday movies. Please.”

Samatoki is on edge, ready to die from all the Christmas cheer that you’ve forced into his skull. He didn’t mind watching one or two but he felt like you’d shown him a marathon, he could only watch an unsuspecting man turn into Santa so many times before he wanted to jump out a window. He rubbed his temples as you asked for just one more, promising that this one was far more action packed than the others and that he’d surely enjoy it. He’s skeptical but as usual has a hard time saying no to you, telling you to put it in and get it over with before he decided to go to bed. You weren’t lying about the movie being action packed and he’s almost ready to argue with you over the fact the only mention of Christmas was that it took place on the day as no other festivities occurred but he was just relieved his suffering was finally over.

Jyuto had been sipping at his drink for the past few hours to drown out the incessant cheer in the romantic Christmas movies that barely made any sense, trying to ignore the plot holes and static characters as at least you seemed to be enjoying yourself. His thoughts were elsewhere for the most part but he was glaringly aware of the fact you were tucked into his side, head resting on his shoulder as you giggled, cried, and gasped at all the movies you were putting on. He was willing his phone to stay silent so he didn’t have to leave your side too early, knowing it was practically inevitable that he would be called away sooner rather than later. But still, he wouldn’t mind making a tradition out of this, quality time spent together on a holiday that he had once ignored.

You loved watching movies with Rio, and Christmas movies were truly a different breed. He had a lot of questions about the authenticity of the characters love of the holiday, asking if they were truly selfish characters or if they were just people with a different world view. He was always so thoughtful and he reacted quite often to the things going on, his heart breaking with the characters, smiling when something good happened, and holding you a little closer when the two love interests finally accepted their feelings for each other. He lets you know he found the night to be quite enjoyable and though each movie had it’s own set of flaws, he was looking forward to watching the new ones that would come out the next time Christmas rolled around.
