Jack Howl

• If Jack was a coward he thinks he might’ve run away with his tail between his legs but as it was he was full of pride and couldn’t turn down the biggest challenge presented to him. He was flustered about having to show such an intimate form of affection to someone he had yet to fully accept his feelings for and you almost think he’s angry at you as he appeared to be glaring. When you stuttered out an apology, looking like you were the one who wanted to head for the hills, Jack’s ears perked up and he held his hands up defensively, telling you that it was just a surprise. He still seemed uncomfortable about kissing you square on the lips, he feels like that should be saved for when he finally gathered his thoughts so he could confess, but a kiss on the cheek was innocent enough. His tail wagged as you presented your cheek to him, closing your eyes to make him feel a little less embarrassed and pleased when you confirm that Jack was far more gentle than his looks might imply.

Ruggie Bucchi

• Did you place that there? Well, to be honest… It’s likely Ruggie himself had strategically placed the mistletoe knowing he’d lead you under it later that night. He didn’t have any ill intention in his heart but once he’d heard about the tradition he knew he couldn’t let you get trapped under the mistletoe with anyone else. He felt a lot calmer when creating the plan than he did right now as you’re staring at him with a look of mild surprise, a little smile coming over your face as you looked at Ruggie and teasingly asked if he led you here on purpose. He tried to sheepishly laugh off your question, rubbing the back of his head as he asked if you really thought he was that underhanded; before you have the chance to respond with ‘probably’ his lips are smothering yours, the kiss far too quick for your liking. The rest of the night is spent with Ruggie on high alert, quickly using his unique magic on anyone who got too close to you near any mistletoe and sending them walking off in the direction they came from.

Leona Kingscholar

• Leona looked up, unamused, knowing some annoying student had likely set this up with the intention of catching their beloved under it but now all eyes were on him. That was a bit dramatic on his part but he disliked that even one single person was looking at the two of you with increased interest, shooting them all irritated glares that had them at least averting their eyes out of respect. When you looked at him expectantly, he didn’t know what to do, not having the heart to simply leave you hanging as he very much enjoyed having an excuse to kiss you. He would take you by the arm and pull you off to somewhere more secluded, snatching down the mistletoe and holding it above the two of you as he said now that it was quiet, he was able to concentrate on you far better. He wouldn’t feel right simply giving you one kiss so you find yourself blessed with Leona’s attention, not returning to the party the rest of the night (just as he planned).
