Saw that we could do parent headcanons! May I request Idia and his daughter playing video games together? Stuff like teaching her how to play and comforting her when she can’t defeat one of the bosses?

Idia Shroud: 

  • You’ve never seen Idia more overjoyed than when he found out your daughter wasn’t just a ‘normie’ and had many of the same interests as him, ignoring you when you tell him it’s definitely due to his influence that she’s like this. He’s not above roasting her for her tastes if he sees it as being poor but for the most part she’s got a fine eye for good media and entertainment making her father a very happy man. He had been worried about having to raise a normal child but having a nerdy one just like him… Now he had to worry about how others might treat her which unlocked a whole new tree of decisions for him. 
  • From when she was young you remember seeing her sit on Idia’s lap, watching him carefully as he finicked with little creations that didn’t have a high likelihood of exploding in his (and subsequently her) face. She liked to touch his tools and stare at them, at times nearly putting them in her mouth but listening to her fathers commands as he tells her to put them down or hand them over. She soon likes to pretend to ‘help’ her father by holding the tools for him, repeating their names over and over until she can pronounce them properly and learns what they’re used for. 
  • Idia will NOT beat a boss for her, she had to use her own skills or else she’d never learn, but he’s not above helping her train. If it was a game where he could help her grind out some necessary experience or he can teach her the finer mechanics/get her a better build on her character than he would do so. Watching from afar as she finally took down the boss she’d been stuck on for a week would be a proud fatherly moment, Idia shedding a single tear that he had to wipe away as he thought of how she’d grown up so fast.
