Yamada Jiro: 

J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous?): 

• You can always tell when Jiro is feeling jealous as he hypes himself up more often, trying to make himself look better than the other person he’s incredibly jealous of. He would pout and deny this if you tried to call him on it, telling you he was just reminding you of all the cool things he’s done but it’s clear he’s making a case for why he’s a better boyfriend than the other guy. He only tends to get jealous if he thinks you’re giving too much of your attention to another person and struggles to openly tell you the issue, letting it fester until he gets annoyed enough that it bursts out. 

L = Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?): 

• Jiro did and had been itching to do so for a long time, worried it would slip out accidentally before he had properly planned around it. In his head he felt like it had to be an important ordeal, said to your loved one during an important event like a one year anniversary or on Valentine’s Day. He had been plotting out the perfect evening that he hoped wouldn’t crumble to pieces and he’s quite pleased that it goes mostly okay, he might put his foot in his mouth at times but he was on his best behavior tonight, watching carefully to make sure you were having a good time. When he finally gets it out he’d been on the edge of his seat all night, scolding himself internally to calm down as the right time would present itself, and it did. He doesn’t confess how much extra stress he put on himself until after you’ve been together for awhile as he doesn’t want you to think he he had to that hard to impress you. 

M = Memory (What’s their favorite memory together?): 

• It had started off as a miserable memory, being dragged off to see the latest horror movie that Jiro could say he had no interest in witnessing. You were among the friend group and spotting you there had truly toughened Jiro up, swallowing all his feelings of fear as you’re sat next to each other in the theater. You’re both stiff at first but you make the movie a little light-hearted by leaning over to whisper jokes in his ear, Jiro catching a whiff of your scent each time you moved which completely derailed his thoughts from the movie in front of him. He still honestly couldn’t tell anyone what it was about even if they had a loaded gun to his head but he was pretty sure that was the night he fell in love with you even if it took him some time to notice. 

S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?): 

• When Jiro needed to take his mind off things he liked to sit himself in front of the TV and just watch whatever soccer game was on that night, even if it was a team he didn’t care for or follow; even better is being able to play it with a couple of his friends from school even if it was just a casual game. Playing his favorite sport, or doing any physical activity, was a great way to get his mind off things and just live on auto-pilot for a short while.
