Kakeru seemed to act on natural instinct. 

That’s the only explanation you had for why he had just kissed you like he had, out of the blue, and was staring at you like a deer in the headlights despite being the one to make the first move. It had been so simple yet sweet despite the slight taste of alcohol, coming after a conversation where you had jokingly said you didn’t know if he could love anything other than running. He had seemed quite earnest in his rebuttal of your statement but you had marched forward with your assumption, knowing he hardly gave anyone the time of day if they weren’t connected to his team. His determined insistence that it wasn’t true was cute to watch, probably a side effect of being under the influence as you hardly saw him emote otherwise, but…

He had kissed you.

After an argument about whether or not he experienced attraction to anything aside from running.

Kakeru’s entire face is highlighted by a bright blush that looks so incredibly beautiful on him you can’t tell if your own rise in temperature is from the alcohol or how good he looks. You don’t think anyone else around you noticed but it wouldn’t matter if they did, you knew what he did and the clear embarrassment written across his face meant he was perfectly aware of what he had done too. You can see he’s struggling to find the words, wanting to apologize for the sudden act, but that’s not what you want from this. You want more of him, you want to feel that unbridled passion you’ve seen only when he was running.

You scooched yourself closer to him and pulled him down by his plan t-shirt, listening to the sound of his heart hammering in his chest as he leaned down to brush his nose against yours. There’s a silent exchange, an agreement, that this is exactly what you had both been hoping would come out of this conversation and as his lips met yours again you considered gluing yourself to him so he could never leave your side. The intensity and passion the next kiss held was exactly what you had wanted and you were sure if you had been standing your knees would’ve given out, almost wanting to pull away to give Kakeru props for being so good at kissing despite clearly lacking experience.

“We should do this in private,” You whispered against his lips, finger running along his jaw line; he leaned into your touch like he was starved for your attention, mumbling something incoherent under his breath that sounded suspiciously like ‘touch me more’. “Come on sweet boy, my place is close.”
