20. Kissing in a stairwell, giving them an artificial height difference.

“C’mon, short stuff, if those girls come back I don’t wanna deal with them again.” 

It took a second for the comment to register but you feel Ramuda tug on the back of your jacket, pulling you to a stop so you’d turn around and look at his sizeable pout. You flicked at his forehead playfully and he went to bite at your fingers, pout growing to a frown as you don’t allow him a chance at revenge. He stood still on the stairs you had been walking down, arms crossed, foot tapping the ground as he waited for your apology that should be coming shortly.

“Ramuda… the girls…”

“I don’t care! They won’t be mean to me!”

“Don’t be a baby,” You scolded him, pinching at his cheeks, “You’re taller than me right now so if you wanna make fun of me, then go ahead. I can take all the short jokes you throw at me.”

Ramuda looked into your eyes with a contemplative look, the frown changing to a neutral expression that left you on the edge. He got like this sometimes, so out of it that he didn’t resemble the Ramuda that was normally presented to the world, it’s how you knew he was comfortable with you but in this moment… You couldn’t quite tell what he was up to. Another few moments of painful silence pass as you tried to keep your ears out for the sound of approaching footsteps, prepared to throw him over your shoulder if need be, but it seemed you had lost the mob of fans completely now. You’re still thinking about how exhausting it is to deal with every one of them when Ramuda placed his arms over your shoulders,

“Don’t think about other people when we’re alone…” He mumbled, arms tightening as he pulled you closer, your hands flying to his waist as you’re worried he might knock you both down the stairs if he loses his balance, “Let me have you all to myself.”

The kiss is so gentle you feel bad for your innocent teasing even if you knew the pink-haired man wasn’t actually upset with you. Ramuda had this way about him that just made you want to cherish him, to hold him, to love him, it’s probably why you had fallen down this rabbit hole despite all that had happened between you. You ran your hands through his hair in the way he liked to show you wanted his forgiveness, only pulling away when you feel him start to press himself closer to you.

“Not on the stairs,” You mumbled, ignoring the irritated whine he lets out as you pulled away from his lips, “Let’s go home.”

“Fine, fine! Just don’t forget how lucky you are to be with someone as cute as me~”

“I could never.”
