Ruby Rose: 

C = Cuddle (How do they cuddle?): 

• Ruby can be a little weird about affection, not sure about how to ask for it when she really wants it and instead just hoping you’ll take the hints that she’s in need. She’ll stare at you with what seems like unblinking eyes before she tugged at your sleeve, asking with a pout if you were ever gonna give her an opening or if she really had to embarrass herself by asking for affection. She’s almost like a cat when she cuddles up into your arms, liking it when you stroked her hair and ignoring your laughter at how she still couldn’t just ask for what she wanted. 

G = Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?): 

• In romance Ruby might be a little clunky but she is relatively gentle, her kind-hearted nature really bleeding through in her interactions with you. Her sincerity and care for your well-being is always apparent and at times you have to tell her it’s okay to just look after herself, too, or better yet, allow you to dote on her the same way she worries over you. Your relationship with Ruby is one that is filled to the brim with love and loyalty and you think if anything were to ever happen that split you apart, there’s no one who would ever make you feel safe and loved as she did.

K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?): 

• Ruby’s kisses are always quick and to the point, always pulling away with a completely embarrassed look on her face as though she can’t believe she had just done that. You always tell her not to force anything, she didn’t have to kiss you like that if she didn’t want to, but Ruby insists her discomfort is from being unused to it rather than completely disgusted by it. She prefers when you kiss her face to her lips but there are times where lip kisses are what brings her the most comfort, it makes her feel connected to you in a way that others aren’t, it all depends on her mood. Once she’s a little more used to being in a relationship when she pulls away from a kiss she’s wearing a goofy grin, poking playfully at your cheeks as she asked if she could have another one for the road.
• You did. Ruby had to admit she didn’t even recognize the romantic tension in the moment the two of you were having as she confided all of her overwhelming feelings in you until your faces were inches apart. You were hesitating, too, wondering how appropriate it was to kiss your good friend when she was in pain but Ruby never pulled away from you. You finally asked the question that you needed to, bracing for rejection, surprised to find that she once again doesn’t pull away from you; she grabbed the hand that was cupping her cheek in comfort and presses her face into it, nodding her head and waiting for you to close the gap. You kept it short and sweet, just like your loved one, and upon pulling away you noted the beautiful red blossoming on her cheeks at the sign of affection. She thanked you, stuttering that the thanks was for comforting her and not for kissing her, continuing to sputter even as she exited the room and ran to tell the rest of her team what had just happened.

P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?): 

• Ruby isn’t a fan of pet names, she says they make her wanna barf and then laughs when you tell her she’s still averse to romance despite being in a romantic relationship. You don’t really mind it as your name is laced with her love every time she speaks it so pet names aren’t required, but you liked to teasingly call her baby or cutie just to see her face scrunch up. If she ends up calling you something other than your name it’s generally to return your teasing behavior, saying it in a sarcastic tone while you pretend to swoon over finally being called ‘babe’.

U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?): 

• Ruby enjoys maintaining her weapon or sparring in her spare time, both things that can be done with you. Sometimes you’ll just be listening to her drone on and on about her weapon, or other peoples interesting weapons, her excitement ramping up until her voice is loud enough that the entire block could hear her. It makes you happy to see her so excited so you never stop her, nodding along, asking questions where appropriate, knowing that it’s a good distraction from all the hardships she’s had to go through in life.
