  • After losing his own family Jyuto hadn’t considered having one of his own, he was busy at work and with life in general meaning romance had truly fallen to the wayside. When you came along it hit him like a truck how much he actually did crave these things but never gave himself the chance to think about it to avoid the loneliness hitting him full force. It was difficult to balance a romantic life with a busy professional life but Jyuto figured it out because you were more than worth that extra stress. He finally had that special someone who made the loneliness melt away, that made him feel like he had a safety net should things truly go wrong.
  • Coming to him with the news you’re pregnant is quite jarring to him, suddenly increasing the family from just two to three? He hadn’t thought about having a baby quite yet, being a cop was dangerous especially when he was one with numerous criminal connections, and he wondered if he could really raise a child when he had such questionable morals himself. You’re certainly far better off than him and he has faith that you’ll raise them right but he’s worried about his own influence on them, worried they might grow up hating him if he’s not around enough or if he’s too strict as he doesn’t want them to follow the same exact path he did. 
  • His muted emotional response leaves you feeling more anxious and concerned, with Jyuto smoking cigarette after cigarette outside while you waited inside for a response. When he finally does manage to gather his emotions he apologizes for stressing you out when it was the last thing he wanted to do, sighing as he admits this wasn’t something he had planned to happen any time soon. He admits it was selfish of him not to ask how you felt about it, waiting patiently for your answer before taking you into his arms. He lets you know there’s nothing more that he’d want in the world than to start a family with you and even if he has to put his life on the line, he’ll protect you both with every bit of power he has.
